Anyone using the Incra Miter Express sled? I know they sell replacement panels for the kerf side. If I buy one sled and one replacement panel, can I set the latter up for cuts with the blade angled at 45 degrees and then swap that panel in and out with the 90 degree one?

I would think not. I have the 5000 and 1000hd on sleds. Also which way does you saw tilt? Either way the sled would be week at the kerf with a 45 deg. cut. I build a 45 deg sled dedicated for that purpose.

I have the miter express with the 1000HD. I use a shop made sled for 45 degrees.

I would ask Incra that question.

I believe you would have to replace “both pieces” when you wanted to cut 45s. The piece that actually attaches to the sled and the drop panel. Now I believe that both pieces are “made” when setting up your sled the first time (it’s been a few years). I think it would be productivity prohibitive to switch out both each time. As others have said, just make a dedicated 45 sled…

Have your say...
