Topic tags/keywords: plans butcher table end grain boos question

Hi all – I’ve been searching for plans for a butcher chopping table (not butcher block), i.e., a stand along, 18-24 inch thick end-grain chopping table made from 2” (or thereabouts) strips that are laminated. Like one of those Boos tables.

This seems pretty straightforward to make, but I am interested to know if these are really just 100% laminated, or do you do something more to insure structural stability?

I have been stymied looking for plans, but of course I may be suffering from “operator error-itis”.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or pointers.

Best, Adam

Hey Adam,

Woodcraft has plans for something that I think is what you are looking for.

Check them out.

I’m not too far away out near Dulles Airport.

Have your say...
