Since Lowes started carrying Craftsman tools I noticed they picked up a Craftsman planer, but can't find alot of info on them. It is only around $329, and looks similar to the other inexpensive planers like HF Bauer, Triton etc. I am guessing maybe they are made in same place and rebranded? Does anyone have one or use one? I am looking for a planer, but am mostly hybrid hand tool guy so would rather not spend the big money on the dewalt.
Craftsman doesn't make anything - they just re-brand existing products. For this one, it's a Porter-Cable PC305TP with different colors. The PC is listed at $319, so you are basically paying the extra $10 for the paint job
