Topic tags/keywords: table saw miter saw

I’m looking for a portable table saw that I can store in the corner of my tiny garage while not in use. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Bosch 4100, but I came across the Grizzly G0870 and it seems to have some great features at a slightly lower price point.

Does anybody have any experience with the Grizzly saw that they can share? I’m sure i could get by with either one, but right now I’m torn.

I also noticed that Grizzly has some sliding miter saws available, but I’ve never heard anybody talk about them. Has anybody seen these in action?

Thanks for your help.

I don’t know if they copied dewalts rack and pinion fence, but Dewalts is fantastic. Extremely accurate and easy to use. By far the best fence I’ve used.

I have no experience with there sliders.

has lots of good reviews and has me thinking that I could set it in an assembly table and take outside on saw horses for long rips.

Says here that it does have the rack-and-pinion. larry

After six weeks of daily use, this saw is no worse for the wear and the rack-and-pinion fence track is holding parallel. The G0870 has easily usurped our company’s Reaganera contractor’s saw as our go-to saw for big jobs.
