Has any member changed the cutter head bearings on a J-180 planer? In order to do so the rotor needs to be removed from the cutter head shaft, the question is is the rotor pressed on and how best to remove it? I can remove the entire assembly i.e. cutter head, rotor, bearings/holders. the bearings don’t feel bad but as long as I’m removing the assembly I might as well change them. I taking it apart because the PO turned it over and cracked the outfeed bed webbing and needs to be welded. Thanks in advance.
