Hello,

I have an old Rockwell table saw with the Jet-lock fence. The motor appears to be weak to the point I can barely cut through a 2×4 with out stalling the motor. The fence is also quite unreliable.

Would I be better off buying a new Delta 36-725 or putting the money into upgrading the Rockwell?

Thanks!

Then I’d fix the motor before doing anything else… probably won’t cost more than $20 – possibly a lot less. How is your blade? Maybe spend a few extra on a new one of those as well.

Cheers,
Brad

Thanks for the advise. I’ll bring the motor to the shop and have them look at it. The blade is new. I’ve actually bought the new saw already, but I may return it if I can get the old one working.

Have your say...
