Hello all. I have heard a rumour that a sawstop brake can be triggered if you cut through formply. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Never happen to me. I heard that if the saw is on and your changing the blade and cartridge and place the cartridge on the cast iron it can trigger, but never happened to me. I unplug the saw anytime I’m switching blades.

I have not heard that but always worry when cutting plastic or thing with plastic on them due to potential static issues. When in doubt, use the bypass mode.

The title of your post could be worded a bit better. It will now probably be cited in support of the rumor.

I haven’t heard of this one either.

Have your say...
