Some people say that we don’t really need a light but with my old eyes anything that helps me get more accurate is welcomed.

The DW715 type 20 (as far as i know) has no light available for it. Has anyone hacked, taped or glued anything onto their dewalt saw that is functional and durable? Battery or wired. I have seen a video or two but was wondering if any of you had experience with adding a light.

Thanks for any help.

Heres a video of a hack that was posted here a while back.

There also are a few aftermarket lasers that bolt on to the blade and activate on centrifugal force…..

+1 on this. I did this for my saw and it works great. Puts the shadow on the cut line.
