I have a Wagner Flexio 890 sprayer that I almost exclusively use the detail nozzle on. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get a consistent good heavy spray going for any longer than 10 mins. Things I’ve tried :

Thinning out with water and/or extender

Adjusting the air to paint volume ratio

Filtering paint through pantyhose

Buying a new detail nozzle

When I’m doing large cabinet jobs or anything that takes longer than 5-10 mins it gets very frustrating having to stop and go clean the entire thing out then screw the paint back on and go back out for another 10 mins. When I’m disassembling it, the paint oozes out the nozzle when I take the little internal nozzle piece off and sometimes burps out paint letting me know that there’s been a back up. I just can’t seem to figure out why.
