I’m building a cabinet for my table saw, and I just can’t settle a debate in my mind right now. Should I glue and screw the mobile base supports to the main plywood base, or do I just screw it in? The supports are poplar, so one of my concerns is wood movement causing issues later on… Or would glue do more to prevent warping later and keep the bottom flat? Also note, the plywood potato chips up a bit, so again, would just screws me enough to fight that down to keep it flat? I just don’t know, and I know I’m over thinking at this point lol. If it makes any difference, there will be 4” casters at each corner, and the individual cabinet boxes will screw on to the platform (not planning on glue there in case I ever need to, or decide to, take it apart).
The pictures below are for reference.

You only need to worry about wood movement across the width of the board. You can disregard movement along the length because it’s negligible. If the picture with the black F-clamps is the poplar frame, you won’t have any issues using glue and screws.

Any expansion or contraction of the poplar will only affect the height. We are talking about perhaps1/32” since those are narrow boards.
