Hi everyone.
During this social distancing I’m making a cutting board out of live edge walnut. It’s a wedding gift that I allowed my new sister in law to choose for herself. I purchased a 6’ board and it has a beautiful area at the bottom that she loves. As I was cleaning a crack in the area with the decay with a small chisel the wood has an oily feeling to it. None of the other areas of the wood feels like this,. I don’t have a clue as what this could be. I’ll post a picture so that y’all can see what I’m talking about. To bad we don’t have feel a vision it would surely help.
I want to use epoxy resin to fill in the area where I removed the decay.

I believe Apple has a “Feel a Vision” app for your needs.
