Hi. I have a deta 22-580 planer with a broken sprocket (part #899355)
Looking online I couldn’t find a replacement since the part is considered obsolete. Anyone else had an issue with this getting this sprocket? Any advise on alternatives?
Thank you

I don’t have a part like that, but if I had a broken sprocket and I couldn’t find a suitable replacement through the normal sources I’d start with farm and industrial supply houses. Many pieces of farm equipment use sprocket and chain setups as do certain industrial equipment items.
Good luck

Universal replacement sprockets are available. Sprockets are defined by chain size, number of teeth, and bore of shaft. Key is to start with chain size.

There are many online sources for chain/sprockets, such as this one:

PS – When a sprocket fails in a chain driven system, it is often due chain wear/stretch. Be sure to check you chain dimensions carefully, before returning system back to service. Using a bad chain on new gear will cause the same failure to happen must faster than 1st time.

Best Luck.

Thank you. It seems like a weird dimension for a chain. The pitch is 0.5” and the inside width is 0.14”.

Hope it is generic as there is virtually zero su[port for any pre-buyout Delta.
But, the same generic lunchbox was sold by everyone. Look at parts from all the brands. ereplacement may have one for a Jet of WEN that is the same.

Have your say...
