hello to every one at lumberjocks i hope all of you and your family’s are well. i have been thinking about building a thickness sander for some time now but to many projects got in front of this one until now .I’ve got questions about drum size and width of drum 12, 18, 24” motor size i was going to have one for feed and one for drum maybe direct drive what would be a good shunt height the bed was going to elevated with acme screws looking for suggestions on size in going to weld a metal frame to mount everything to . for those of you that have built one of these any info or plans drawing etc would be helpful

I built the Stumpynubs one powered by my Shopsmith. I did not like it and bought a Supermax 16/32.
