Topic tags/keywords: dust extractor festool miter saw

Looking for a source to purchase a vacuum cleaner hose that will fit the 26/27 mm exhaust port on a Festool miter saw. I made the mistake of purchasing a Festool miter saw without realizing I need a $640 Festool dust extractor to fit what seems like a proprietary fitting on the exhaust.. I am thinking if I could purchase a vacuum cleaner hose with an inside diameter of 1-1/4 inches, I could make it work and save $500 or more.

THere are some generic stepped hose ends. I use some aluminum and foil tape for a while on my chop saw
Welcome to Festool.

I use a generic hose kit on my Fein vac.

Also look at everything in the way of plumbing fittings, or look at various tubes from McMaster Carr you could glue together.

I used a sump pump hose on the two at work. 50’ run and worked fine. The shop vac was far away…

Sump pump hose can be stiffer, but lots cheaper….

Thanks for sharing. I’ll start looking in the places mentioned.
