Hello everyone! It’s been quite some time since I last attempted to set up my shop. Guess now is a great time to get everything set up, unless you’re missing things you need! I bought this off Craigslist a couple years ago and never finished my table saw project to actually install it until now.

Does anyone know what size Allen key fits the head cap screws/adjustment screws on the vega pro 40 fence?

Any suggestions on what I can do about obtaining a replacement for the rear hold down?

Thank you in advance!

I suggest calling Vega.

I could get you the screw sizes off mine, but the hold down will have to come from Vega. So you may as well just go through them.

My history says to call, sometimes it takes a while via email. If they made it, they can get you a part.

By the rear hold down, are you referring to the little piece that clips under the back rail? If so, it’s easily made. There’s nothing critical about it. It just keep the back of the fence from lifting up.

Bought a set of Allen wrenches that went higher (and would fit) and it ended up being 5/16.

I’ll still need to get in touch with Vega about the hold down, or as HokieKen suggested, make my own.

Thanks for the suggestions!
