Topic tags/keywords: craftsman jointer jointer blade

I bought this jointer and while restoring it I found that it was missing the cutter blade wedges. Do any of you pros know a good place to pick some up? I’ve tried eBay, and have done some basic internet research. I figured someone on here might know a place to get some or at least know what I could substitute in their place.

I think I have that model I bought for $150. I did some derusting and installed new blades and power switch. It is odd to be missing those wedges because the only reason to remove them is during a blade change. Someone must have removed the blades to explore replacing and lost interest. I did a quick search but no luck. I would keep your eye open for a badly rusted Craftsman with the same cutter head or determine who the actual manufacturer is and work that angle. Sorry not much help.

I believe that’s a craftsman jointer with a fixed outfeed table. It’s not a good jointer to spend anymore money on.
The reason the knife gibs could be missing is they flew out with the machine running.
I had one of those jointers for years before the internet.
The gibs screw down into the bottom of the knife slots a very bad design.
Look for a jointers with a handwheel on the outfeed same as the infeed.
Good luck
