I have a Freeman model PFR2190 nail gun. I’m not real familiar with air tools, but I use them occasionally. My question is if I what to go from a 3 1/2 inch nail to a 2 1/2 inch nail do I have to change out any parts. My gun came with extra parts and they are labeled with different sizes and gages. If I don’t have to change out anything to use a different sized nail, what are those parts for. There is no reference to what to do in any of the manuals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A quick glance at the manual seems to show that no changes are made to the gun when you put in a different length nail, though you may find that you want to adjust the depth setting and possibly the air pressure.

Thanks for the attitude! Unlike you, who must see himself as flawless, I have suffered from severe dyslexia my entire life. I sometimes have to depend on help from others so I can comprehend what I am unable to do by simply RTFM!

Wow, that was a remarkable reply. Sorry about that Chris, good luck with your nailer.

Hi C’1963, no prior knowledge of your gun, however, i’d say yes… the nail.
