I took the advice I was given on here and pulled the trigger on the Laguna 18Bx and absolutely LOVE IT….
I love it soo much I had to go back and get his little brother also. It was on sale hahahahahaha. Thanks to everyone for the advice…you guys were 100% correct.
I think you're the second person on here I've seen with 2 band saws. IRC pottz has two of them with one having a super fat blade dedicated to resawing.
I had to do a lot of rearranging to make them fit but everything in my shop is on wheels so I can maneuver all my big tools around for just the right position.
Well everything except that 4×8 plasma table. I love it but boy does it take up room in my small shop.
hell yeah why not if you can swing it.as sansoo said i have a hitachi thats just for re sawing and the other has a 1/4" blade for doing tight cuts.it really saves me time tough not having to constantly be changing blades.are we spoiled wood brats-yeah ;>)
I think everyone i've known in person or talked to online that had a plasma table said the exact same thing. My buddy Bill has one as well as a small cnc milling machine that get in the way of everything. He uses them maybe twice a year when a race car part breaks. The rest of the time i think he just sips his coffee and pets them.
I'm the same way. I purchased it last February and I've cut a total of maybe 10 decorative things with it.
BUT it's paid for and other than being in the way isn't hurting anyone except my shop space. I have my shop split, I work with metal and wood.
