Hi folks. I’ve got an old 10” Delta blade that I got from work years ago and I’m trying to figure out what is best use is. It was sitting around for a good 25 years before I grabbed it. It’s great shape and very sharp.

Anyway, it’s a Delta 35-625, 80 tooth with a negative rake. When would I want to use this instead of my trusty Tenryu Gold Medal? It’s not your normal crosscut blade.

I’ll give pic for the heck of it.

Thanks.

Should be great in a RAS, slider, or miter saw if you have one, but should also do well in sheetgoods, and fine crosscuts on a TS. Test it and see!

+1 The 80 teeth make it good for non-tearout on sheet goods like plywood and smooth cuts on a miter and radial arm saw.

What kind of work was it?

I did a search for 35-625, and the hit below said it was this on Goofle images, but following the link to FleaBay it morphed into the Delta 35-624, close but no stogie.

The description says, it is suggested “For cutting brittle and hard abrasive type materials when a finish cut is desired.” Sounds a lot like OSB or maybe even tile backer board. Definitely would make it a specialty blade, when compared to the norm.

That funny. I’ve got the 35-624 also from the same place. I wasn’t too curious about it because it looks like a plain old crosscut blade.

It’s funny. I have the 35-624 too. I got it from the same place, at the same time. I never thought much about it because it was just a nice crosscut blade to me. It’s the negative rake on the other one that had me wondering.

Thanks!
