Have a few tools that I have barely used, and have not touched in a year so I would like to get them to someone who will actually use them. I will accept payment via PayPal, but if you use goods and services please add 4% to cover the fees, otherwise friends and family is ok. I had to create a new reddit account and all my past feedback is lost, but I can give you my eBay name and you can check my feedback there if you would like some reassurance, I have been selling on eBay since 2003. I will consider offers on everything, so if you don’t like the price send me a reasonable offer via PM.

To begin, I have a set (will sell separate also) of Veritas Skew Block Planes (both have PM-V11 blades). I have used these about 4 or 5 times between the two of them. I have the optional depth stop and fence rod (both unused) for sale also, would do both of those for $20 shipped. Both planes include original box and fence, I have the manual for one of them, but the other manual is somewhere in the shop and I am not sure of its location. Would like to get $200 each shipped for the planes, would do both and the accessories for $400 shipped. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/T7bXOxJ

Next, I have a Veritas Combination Plane, yet another item I purchased, used a time or two and then put away never to be used by me again. This is a great plane and very versatile, I just do not use it. Will include plane, blade, original box, and manual. Looking for $400 shipped for this plane. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/4BBlvtW

Finally, I have a once used Festool TS-75, I used this one time to trim the end of my workbench, then put it in the box and have not used it since. I ended up getting a Makita cordless track saw and I have no use for two track saws. Comes with saw, blade, box, cord, and manual. It does not include a track, but they can be purchased on Amazon, eBay, Woodcraft etc. Would like to get $575 shipped for it. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/Xqszde6

Frankly, your prices are quite high. For example, the pair of skew block planes can be had for $419 new, and the accessories are only a few dollars more. Also, the combination plane is only $419 new.

I generally won’t pay even 50% of retail for a used item. I might go 60% for a like-new hand tool, but your prices are more like 95%, and shipping is often free on the Lee Valley site.

Thank you Rich, I hope Grendleguy takes this as helpful input. I did and I agree with your points. When I see prices are high, I quickly move on. I expect May folks do.

Thanks for the feedback newwoodbutcher, and…..

Rich,
Your comment was helpful, and I can understand not wanting to pay more than 50% of retail on used tools, trust me I like to save money too. However, Festool and Veritas are known for holding their value, and all of these tools were pretty much brand new. I did say for people to make me an offer if unhappy with price (I include a little wiggle room in my prices most of the time), but I digress. In the end I sold all these tools for pretty close to what I wanted for them. Sorry not trying to come off as a a**hat, I just feel these tools were worth the asking price.

Rich & NWB: Please tell me where you have the most success at getting VG condition Lie-Nielsen at 50% – 60% of retail. I’m all in on those deals. :)

Thanks in advance for the info.

Where did I say I was paying that for used LN tools? I was referring to the maximum I’d pay for a used tool. When you get up in the 70%-plus range—or close to 95% like the OP’s price—I’d rather pay the few extra bucks and buy new.
