It look like the hood may be available at toolpartsdirect.com (part #909106) but they want $126 for it. It looks like it would be fairly straightforward to make one. You could make it out of wood or you could find a large PVC pipe cut in half and simply make ends for it to attach it.

Makin a jig it’s not a problem but curious if it’s plastic or metal.

Anybody have this unit?

mine is metal but it’s about 30 yrs old so the newer ones are probably plastic.

I would assume plastic as well but all the knobs are metal. Everything is metal. Obviously I’ll make a top but if I find one on Ebay I want to know if it’s actually suppose to be metal or plastic…

I’ve got to figure out the date of manufacture on this unit….thx

I’d think some 1/4” plywood could be used to fashion something fairly easily????

Making the top is a breeze… if I ever resell the machine a completed machine brings more than a partially completed machine. I’m always in the search on ebay for machine parts…I still need the ant kickback on my RAS…
