Looking at this 220v 3hp 18” drum sander this week. There are no tags on it and am curious if anyone here knows anything about it. Thanks! -- Ron, Pennsylvania |

Looks very similar in shape and construction to a Grizzly G1066 (24”) I just sold. While its not Grizzly green, looks like it came out of the same factory. -- Rick - I know I am not perfect, but I will keep pressing on toward the goal of becoming all I am called to be. |

That’s what I was thinking too, but was under the impression that its older than Grizzly. I think they only go back about 30 years. Could be they bought the patent or copied the model though. -- Ron, Pennsylvania |

Felt it was well worth the $250 he was asking and brought it home. Thinking it may have been a special edition as it looks identical to the Grizzly except its blue. Motor was 5hp and there is also a smaller conveyor belt motor. I’m going to call Grizzly tomorrow to see if its theirs and what if any parts they have for it. It ran quiet, but I’m going to either clean and repack the pillow blocks or replace them and the v-belt. I’d also like to find a new conveyor belt for it. Chain seems a bit loose, anyone know how much slack they should have? -- Ron, Pennsylvania |

1) Grizzly made a 16” version G1079? 2) That color looks like a very dirty ‘Jet’ blue paint. -- If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all, - Albert King - Born Under a Bad Sign released 1967 |
