I pulled the trigger and bought one.

All went together good. Only thing i have concerens with is riving knife.

Seems it loose side to side. I can push on it from the left and it moves off the blade a good 3/16. Let go and it jumps back inline with the blade

Small handle is in the locking notch but still seems loose. Is this normal or do i have a delta issue..

It will not pull out. Just side movement.

All else went good. Motor was shifted a good bit but i fixed all that.

Thoughts????

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

If you have the Grr-ripper setup properly to clear the blade it should also clear your riving knife.

Are you flexing/bending the riving knife side to side or is it actually moving the locking lever to the side? My riving knife only moves side to side if you push on it hard enough to actually flex it. When pushing my locking lever down it only gets tight, there is no locking notch it falls into. When fully pushed down in the tight position the lever is horizonal. If you have movement of the locking lever after being pushed down you need to tighten the locking nut that holds the lever on.

Its locked. When i push on the knive it flexes the spring loaded attachment thingy lol.

Cuts fine. It does what it suppose to do. Tried tightening up the spring via the 13mm nut but that only makes it harder to move the locking lever. But yea its flexing the plate when i push it. But it springs back just fine. I could be overthinking this lol.

I lowered it to bottom pos so i can use my gripper. Works great…

Cuts dead on with this great fence. Happy so far with my decision.

Update///////////////

Sent pics into Delta. 2 days I got a response that they are sending me out a replacement riving knife. Not sure what they are sending, but I am suppose to be getting something.

When I get the new one, ill figure out if I did something or if it was defect part. I might have pushed the locking lever too far and broke something. From looking at other saws, the lever does not come back to a locked position but rather stays in the middle. Hard to explain but if you have the saw you know what I mean. Ill take pics in case others down the road have this issue. As you can see in the pics, the locking bar comes all the way around till its 90 deg to blade. I don’t think its suppose to come that far. I BELIEVE the cam should be at the black line. Think I may have forced it because in the manual it states that it should lock In the front cam. Ill know more when I get the new part

Delta sent me out a nee riving assy. Installed it and she’s good as new. The bottom tit was broken off which allowed the lock to travel too far forward.
