I have a ten inch craftsman bandsaw and I can change the blade with in minutes no big deal. It is an older machine with tilting table. The guard pops off and remove front part of the table loosen blade and remove. No screws to remove pieces snap on and press on.

Carter guides won’t get you any improvement, and just cost more in the long run. Best thing you can do to your machine is give it a good tune up.

Brad, aside the fact Carter doesn’t make a Stabilizer blade for the Craftsman saw, curious why you would say the Carter guides won’t improve performance. I swapped my stock PM guides on one of my saws for the Stabilizers and find it was a huge improvement over the ten bearing guide system, when running smaller blades.
