Hello,

I’m looking for a supplier in central Wisconsin for baltic birch and other hardwood veneered plywoods. Ideally, I would like them to stock (or be able to special order) baltic birch in 1/8” up to 1”+, as well as some options for pre-finished plywood. I am primarily interested in 4×8 sheets, as opposed to 5×5.

I’m already aware of Bennett Hardwoods, and go there frequently for solid lumber, but they really only have baltic Birch in 5×5. I can order 4×8 baltic birch from my local Menards, but they only carry 1/4”, 1/2”, and 3/4” thicknesses, and I would prefer to have more variety than that.

There’s a few cabinetry shops in the area, so i’m finding is surprisingly difficult to find a diverse plywood supplier, but maybe all the cabinet shops order from wholesale distributors by the pallet, and have them delivered.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

It’s been perhaps two years since I contacted them and Appleton may be more northeast than central Wisconsin, but Valley Planing Mill in Appleton is one place to check. I don’t have my note from the call any more but recall they generally stocked some thicknesses and could order others. You’d need to check with them about 4×8 vs. 5×5 sheets. I just can’t recall which they stocked.

Bay Ridge Plywood and Supply in Green Bay stocks several thicknesses in 5×5 sheets. I’d be hard-pressed to call Green Bay central Wisconsin, though.

Please post what you find to this thread. Gary
