I get a lot of request to put logos, names, and engravings on the wood and glass itemds that I make so I been thinking of getting a laser/cutter. The problem I have is I don’t know a think about them so I was wonder if anybody can make some recommendations.

How big of a area and if your doing glass then you will need a co2 laser. The higher the power the faster you can cut and engrave. If your doing a cylinder then you will also need a rotary axis. Also how much do you want to spend and how computer savvy are you.

Cute dog.

The computer I can handle the laser not so sure. My largest part is 12×18, price wise there all over the place. I would like to stay under 1,000 any recommendations?

you tube videos on laser engraving can help you decide which laser engraver may work for you.

I can’t recommend any co2 lasers as I have never used one. But doing glass and that size a co2 is what you would be looking for. My laser is from banggood.com but will not do glass or plexiglass. I agree with looking it up on YouTube there are a bunch of laser videos that are informative. Also buy from a dealer you can get a hold of, since the co2 laser tube is fragile. You can try some government surplus sites the old laser units were fazed out a year ago so some still maybe floating around.
