It appears as though something with your CloudFlare settings will block you from posting the usual YouTube Embedding code from http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/files/YouTube_code.htm

I just tried tonight, and when I paste the generated code in (per usual), I can’t preview (it just sits and does it’s “loading” animation indefinitely), and if I try to post the new reply, it will kick me to a cloudflare page that says I’ve been blocked (though if I hit back it will work fine)

If I edit the post, and try to add the text, it will hang with the “loading” animation on the save button indefinitely.

I’ve searched a few different things, and haven’t found anything posted on the site about it yet.
Is there another way to embed videos we should be using now, or is redirecting traffic away from LumberJocks preferred now?

I find that I have to convert youtube videos to an older format to embed them in some places. LJ’s is like this. Use this webpage to input your youtube URL. Copy the code it generates and embed that instead. It should work from there. It does for me anyway.

I’ve been here a long time, nearly 11 years. Seems this was an issue that showed itself when youtube made some major changes to it’s website years ago and this was a solution that was put forward in forums. I’ve had it bookmarked ever since.

Does that still work for you right now? That’s the link I posted, and was trying to use…

yep…just tried as well. same blocking issue.
Malewarebytes security add-on did notify me of this which has never done before:
Website blocked due to a suspicious top level domain (TLD)
Website blocked: www.gorissen.info

Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this website because it may contain scam activity.
Probably has something to do with certificates or the HTTPS Lumberjock site security not allowing something from unsecured

I guess I didn’t inspect the generated code, maybe I’ll do that when I get home, see if it includes anything specific to the site. It’s just copy paste html object code, so I would think it’s related to the object tag more than the site. Worth a shot though

Probably the object tag itself I would guess. Wonder if the new way of embedding will work, or if we’re SOL lol
