Guys,

I have a Dewalt DW746 table saw and I really like it but it has a wandering fence when I lock it down. As I push down on the level to lock the fence, the fence deflects to the left about 1/8 inch. This is driving me nuts! I have taken it apart and cleaned every nook and crevice to no avail. Any of you have any experience with this issue, I’d love to hear from you.

Also, if you have replaced the DW746 fence which one did you go with and was it easy to replace. Thanx in advance for letting me dig up an old corpse.

Well, I just bought a Delta T3 Fence system for $220. I’ll follow up this post with my progress.

Hmmm? I thought that fence was relatively good. An 1/8 to the left is quite much. I would complain to management.

I have a bosch gts10xc, and it commonly locks off square to the right about a half mm. To the right isnt a huge problem, and if I need a dead-on accurate cut, I put a square on it and correct it.

To the right though, that is a problem.

Id complain and try to get a replacement, FOC; or troubleshooting advice.

They don’t make the table saw anymore. I’ve seen many who complain about the fence and want to replace it. Google it. If I try to complain…..most I’d get probably is …..too bad, so sad.
