I’m looking at a new router table, fence and table; the two I’m debating are the Kreg table and the Rockler table; while the Rockler table is cheaper, I am curious if the Kreg is worth a couple hundred more for basically the same items (top, insert, fence, stand). Thanks for any input

Which Rockler router table are you comparing it to the Kreg? Rockler has a decent amount of variations.

Rockler has several different styles in router tables to choice from. Which are you comparing. I’m on the frugal side, so which option are important to you.

If just the basic, can’t really say it’s worth that much more. The fence on the Kreg is better, but the insert plate is blank, so you’ll have to drill the mounting holes. With Rockler, you can choose which plate you want to match your router, so that takes a decent amount of guesswork out of it. Fence is not as robust, so if you’re Only comparing those two, I’d probably lean towards Rockler and plus it’s on sale right now.

I think both are basically the same. The kreg micro adjust I think is better. Just a matter of; What is the height of the table you’d like, Do you want it on casters, Do you want to add a router lift. If you want, use 2×4’s to make the frame to get your comfortable working height and put the kreg tabletop on https://www.kregtool.com/store/c35/router-table-systems/p354/precision-router-table-top-/ then add the fence https://www.kregtool.com/store/c35/router-table-systems/p354/precision-router-table-top-/ Rockler also have router tabletop packages.

For the price differential, it seems to me the Rockler package (stand, top, fence about $320) is a much better value than the Kreg (stand, top, fence about $545); or making my own table/stand would reduce the Rockler to about $270 versus the Kreg at about $360
