I was thinking this was a cradle for a baby, but now I see it is a cradle for bagpipes; never heard of it.

Looks like it would keep the pipes from going everywhere. I imagine if parked in the wrong spot, and NOT in a cradle, it could become a trip hazard.

When I don’t know about something, I Google, and Yep, there they are. and looking a lot like yours. Gonna put legs on it?

Thank you. Yes I will be making a stand for it also in Cherry. It will be tilted back slightly on the stand. I just started it and made sure the person who wanted it liked the design. She was tired of her husbands bagpipes on the table.
I’ll post more as I go.
