Any one have any experience with a Northfield 30” bandsaw? I can get it for $750. It’s in good shape and has a 5HP 3 phase motor. I am ok with that. Would like to get it to resaw and such. Only thing is that the guides are kind of worn out. Too much play and difficult to keep set. Would a set of Carter guides fit one of these? |

Northfield is still in business, and sells any part you need. |

The shop I took woodworking classes in (WTC in La Crosse, WI) had two of them … they were beasts! I don’t know if Carter guides would fit, but as Nick424 points out, Northfield is still in business and should be able to provide parts -- Gerry -- "I don't plan to ever really grow up ... Northfield tools are top notch, if you can otherwise deal with a saw that size, you’d better grab it. As mentioned above they are still in business and if you’re so inclined they will rebuild/refurbish their tools. -- Our village hasn't lost it's idiot, he was elected to congress. |
