Spokeshave with one folding handle ( gets your hand out of the way in tight spots..) Called a Core Box plane…Pattern Makers used it to hollow out large forms to cast a cylinder item Winchester needed a line of items after WW1, since the demand for weapons suddenly “tanked”, and they wanted to keep the factory running…Hand tools like planes and other tools seemed to be what they produced… -- A Planer? @Bandit. Thanks. I checked that out, I would have never thought it was used to make cylinders. He had a price of $125 on it. I passed. Do you know anything about Winchester? Quality-wise it looked pretty similar to Stanley. -- Everything is a prototype thats why its one of a kind!! |

I’d bet the drawknife is a coopering tool. -- https://www.jtplaneworks.com - In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is. |

Winchesters were made by Stanley and Sargent. You can tell usually by the frog or if there’s a number stamped on it. |

The drawknife looks like it could also be used as a block knife by moving the adjustable handle. BE CAREFUL if doing so. Block knives are deceptive, and can “get ya” when you least expect it. -- OleGrump |

$125 was a steal for the core box plane provided it isn’t cracked or damaged at the mouth. And I would have bought #1 in a heartbeat. -- Author of "With Saw, Plane and Chisel" and "On Woodworking" |

Ditto the price of the core box being a steal! -- Don't anthropomorphize your handplanes. They hate it when you do that. - OldTools Archive - |

It’s at the antique store next to IHOP in Anniston. -- Everything is a prototype thats why its one of a kind!! |
