I have an EGO 56volt Li On battery that has gone bad. EGO replaced it with a new one. The bad one had an electronics issue; not the battery itself. I wonder if the cells can be salvaged. The battery only saw 2 or 3 hours of use before going bad.

Probably, but difficult to say without seeing it for myself. I have always been in the camp that if it is broken already what do you have to lose trying to fix it. However if or when you take it apart be careful, 56 volts is enough that you can feel it.
