Technically, this is not a CNC machine at all—CNC being “Computer Numerically Controlled”.
This is a small router mounted on a three axis gantry.

He says he spends more time setting up to run programs than running them, which can be true, but it also means he hasn’t spent enough money on the right software.

I have to admire his ingenuity, though.
A small Nema 23 controller setup would be relatively inexpensive for this setup.

Just sayin’.
