As a new guy here I want to say thank you to this group. For one its a friendly bunch and people have responded positively to stuff I have posted. This gives us new people confidence in what we are doing. I have been warmly welcomed into the hammer toss/swap. And it has been a great place to get advice and tips.

So thanks for being a good group and inclusive to new people.

Oh and while the talent on here can be humbling it is also very inspiring. Browsing the projects has been great.

i love to hear that from new members,im approaching the 4 year mark and ive loved the experience getting a lot of knowledge and making many great friendships.this place will give what you put into it and i see your a participator rather than a lurker and that’s what we need more of here.so let me say welcome.

it’s cool here you’ll see many threads start out one way and end up somewhere else, ive never seen anyone complain.

its not hijacking if you are agreeing. Even if you were hijacking that would be okay as well. But you stayed on topic.

yeah, we give each other some good natured guff from time to time, but that’s how guys show they like each other…... 8^) One thing for sure, whenever you have a question, and you put it before the folks on this site, you WILL get answers. Doesn’t matter if it’s a how to, have ya ever, whatzzit, or whatever, LJ folks will be ready to share their knowledge and experience.
Tell ya summthin’ else: it doesn’t matter if you been working wood four days or forty years, ALL of us have questions from time to time. This is a great place to get answers for those questions. If a particular topic especially interests you, enter it in the search box, and follow the relevant threads. Might take ya a couple of days to read the entire thread, (some of ‘em get quite long) but there is a true TREASURE TROVE of information right here for all of us to share.
Glad yer enjoying yourself here. Hope you do a whole heap a postin’ in the near future!

I remember my first forays here. It’s been a great experience and a wonderful learning curve. I can honestly say I’ve learned so very much from all the folks here. I’ve improved my skills largely from Lumberjocks and Youtube.
Such great resources!

Been on the site for around two years and have learned more than I will probably ever need, but you never know. Occasionally I even have a little info to share. Enjoy the site and a late welcome to it. Mel
