A couple of things I’m not into is bowl turning and pen making. I do admire, respect and appreciate the craftsmen that do those two things though and the techniques they use to get the job done.

I found this on youtube tonight of a master pen maker in Japan. Maters of the Fountain Pen. Really interesting for me.

I also don’t have an interest in pens or bowls.
but to watch an old Craftsman at work with the minimum of tools
on an old line shaft drive is a rare treat.
(this is definitely not his first rodeo in the shop).

Very interesting, have seen similar things in Mexico with wood workers building furniture, amazing what they can do with so little! Reminds me of a saying we had at work, Safety sucks and hampers production:)
