Hello from Idaho. I’ve been a lurker and thought I’d better get legit and join up since I’m in the beginning stages of setting up the woodshop in my garage. I started out with a DeWalt CSMS and DeWalt circular saw which has done well for me for over 10+ years, but I recently acquired my dad’s woodworking tools (band saw, jointer, planer, mortiser, and drill press) and now I’m almost complete except for a table saw. My dad passed 3 years ago and I finally got around to getting his tools up to Idaho. He had a Craftsman 113 or 315 series saw with the Exact-I-Rip fence. So I may be taking that on the next trip.

It’s all sitting in my garage now. Many of the tools need some TLC and rust removel. I need to build out a rolling work bench, miter station, wood storage and various mobile carts for the tools. I’m excited and a bit overwhelmed because I want it done yesterday. :p

My garage is an 35’x15’ RV garage and I have to deal with 12’ ceilings. So, my lighting is going to be fun to install. ;) I’ll be using up one length of the wall for the shop tools and the back wall currently has a work bench running the width of the garage.

And so it begins.

Thanks for this great resource and the people that contribute.
