I have the cast iron bench dog router table bolted to my unisaw. my concern is I also have the Incra ls fence system. the plastic bench dog insert sucks. as you push stock across it the wood catches on the lip of the plate. also the plastic plate mikes out at .115 the steel router plate machined lip where the plastic plate rest and screws into is .125 deep so there’s a lip of .10 Does anyone know of a replacement plate that might work? other than making one? I can shim the plastic insert and make it work, that’s my next step.. I can buy a quality router lift with magnetic steel rings but for now I got to live with this set up. the incra Ls does such precision work it doesn’t need this bench dog junk ring hampering it’s ability. thanks. This is my second plastic ring, the first one got hot and distorted cutting dovetails in purple heart wood. I should say is I have shimmed it with shim stock. but a metal plate would be my proper fix.
