Let me know if you have one that you don't use.

I just ordered one from Indonesia. The link is below. If you want, wait and PM me to see how it went. Payment went through PayPal, so I'm not concerned about getting ripped off. Besides, it's only $24.73.

It's funny, when I hit the button to calculate shipping to Arizona, I had a choice of 3 week delivery time for free, or DHL shipping taking 8 to 10 days for $305. That's right, $305. Guess which one I picked?

Have you ordered from them before Rich? They have good prices even on the sandpaper.

No I haven't. Yeah, their prices are ridiculously low. I paid $68 on Amazon for the Ken Onion blade grinding attachment and they have it for $28.25.

Could be a scam, although the web site seems legit. Payment is through PayPal, so I'm confident I won't get ripped off for the money. I'll follow up on how it goes. Hopefully I've found a good source for Work Sharp disks and belts. Heck, even their glass plate is $7 and the fine and coarse media kits are $5. I can wait three weeks for shipping to save that kind of money.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

I read on another forum, sawmillcreek(?) that someone tried that Jakarta site and never got their stuff. For what it's worth…let us know anyways. So irritating that I kept my Work Sharp in an unopened box for 5 years and the second I open it and realize how awesome it is, Work Sharp goes and discontinues all the accessories. I'll bet they're working on a system where you're more fully locked into buying their consumables. I'm sure they're seeing a decline in revenue as the knowledge leaks out that one can use sharpening compound or diamond plates instead of their very expensive sandpaper.

That's why Tormek's are so expensive and their accessories are affordable (opposite from Work Sharp). Rarely does one buy another Tormek wheel, and reasonably priced accessories keep people in the fold. WS operates more like a razor blade company; cheap handle but $$$ blades (i.e. sandpaper or accessories)

My order is still in the "awaiting fulfillment" status. I won't be surprised if it never ships. Speaking of accessories, I watched an auction for the tool bar attachment go up to $305 just a few days ago. Starting price was $35. Someone must have really wanted that. I have a Tormek 2000 besides the Work Sharp, so the tool bar wasn't something I needed anyway. That wide blade attachment would come in handy though.

I'll give the order from Jakarta a couple of weeks and if it hasn't shipped I'll cancel it through PayPal. I also have the email I sent the payment to and will contact them in a few days.

I'll follow up here.

Holy Crap!! Guess what WS accessory I have that I never use that will be going on Ebay… I also have the wide blade attachment and it is fantastic. Good luck finding one to the OP. It makes the machine much more versatile IMO. And the honing guide that comes with it is by far the best one I've ever used. I can't see why they quite making the Wide Blade attachment. I read a long while back that they were forced to quit making the tool bar attachment due to a patent infringement lawsuit by Tormek. Can't imagine what prompted the discontinuation of the Wide Blade attachment though.

good luck getting this order complete. I tried the same a number of months ago and they finally cancelled it without giving a reason. This was the only place in the world I found selling the wide blade attachment. Too good to be true? My order was cancelled. Maybe they were out of stock? If your order goes through and you receive the item, let us know!

Recently an ad popped up for some website 15 Milwaukee 18v cordless tools and 4 batteries for $79. I really didnt need most of the tools but for that price i had to look into it. Before placing an order I did a search about it and came up as a fake. Lately there seems to be a lot of these fraudulent sites.

You really have to be careful for sure. This experience was a reminder of that. I have had great success with wikibuy and the referrals to eBay items. I got a Milwaukee M18 hammer drill and driver set that Home Depot sells for $299 for $210 recently, no tax and free shipping. Deal went through and I received a new-in-the-box set. Same for a circular saw for $58 and batteries for cheap (real Milwaukee batteries, don't mess with the after market ones. They suck and can ruin your tool).

Those deals only come along at random though.

That's a reasonable deal save $100. These other fake sites knock off 85%. Talking to a friend today about this topic. Said he went to order a motorcycle helmet that was half the normal price and when he went to check out his credit card company actually cancelled the order because it was a fraudulent site. So that's a little reassuring provide some protection.

I know it's a month old but I figured I'd ask anyway. I already have a ws3000 that I got as a gift but I've been looking for a wide blade attachment. I personally like it for how quick and easy it is to sharpen my chisels. I'm sure there are better options out there.
