What is your question? I have the 12” Starrett combination square and swear by it for accuracy. I don’t know about the others. I wouldn’t think a square made for woodworking would need to be as accurate as one used for metal. All the Starrett’s have a certificate of inspection, not so for the others. Starrett has been in business since 1880 a good 100+ years longer than the others, so I think they know what they are doing.

I’m sorry to hear you are giving up woodworking.

Unfortunately, I don’t need squares right now. I have the incra ones and a few more.
