Topic tags/keywords: tablesaw question fence Got my father’s Craftsman 10” Deluxe Contractor Saw setup, model number 113.299410 (rebranded Emerson, circa 1996-1997 I believe) with cast iron “grated” wings and original XR2424 fence and add-on Craftsman router extension wing with Craftsman router. I recently used this (along with my Festool track saw) to build custom kitchen cabinets for a remodel. But the XR2424’s teflon glides are either missing or detaching, and the rubber on the adjustment knob has hardened and falling apart so I want replace the fence entirely. It appears the “new” Chinese-made Biesemeyer-branded fences under Delta are no longer up to the quality of the original USA-made ones, so my question is this: What current model fences are recommended for these vintage Craftsman? The Delta 30 in. T-Square Fence and Rail System offered through Home Depot has high reviews (4.4/5 in 142). In fact, one of the reviews has a similar table saw and router wing extension: |

When I still had my Craftsman 113, I put a Delta T2 fence on it and had no problems with it. -- Bondo Gaposis |

I think the Delta T2 (or T3…whatever the current version is) is smart money for that saw in the $200 range. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |

I also would say the T2 fence is perfect for the smaller sized contractors, either that or a Vega homeowners, or “Utility” fence. It is a perfect miniature of the Vega Pro, the best, most accurate fence I have ever used. On both looking around the web will likely find you much lower prices. Either will transform that Sears saw into a much higher potential wood cutting machine. -- Think safe, be safe |

Another vote for the delta! My 113 saw is great with a T2 fence on it! |

Wow, that is one BEAUTIFUL fence… but at $500+, it’s over 5x the value of the stock table saw itself in its present condition… |

What are the diferences between the T2 and T3? Is it just the T3 being newer? |

FWIW: IMHO: The T3 is decent fence upgrade for contractor saw, providing using SHORT rails. If you want the 84 inch rails with 52” capacity; suggest the T2 with larger structure is better choice to connect your TS to the extension table legs required for long fence. If you want an industrial T-square fence, and want it cheap: don’t forget you can make your own.
