I have a Delta Rockwell drill press that belonged to my father. I believe it is a model 280-11 bench top model. The problem I have encountered is with the chuck. It will slip almost out, but, will not come all the way out. It doesn’t appear to have a morse taper, but has a straight shaft. It is the original chuck that came with the drill. Any one have any advice? Thanks for any help in this matter.

I’ve seen chucks with a machine screw inside the chuck. Open the chuck all the way and take a look….
