Well, I didn’t build that train specifically. However, for what it is worth, on the train I built, I set the wheels on an axle.

Hey GR8 remember some jerk hassling you about SketchUp… You had a sabatical a way back to swat up… and if you didn’t I sincerely appologise…. I do have a model of the train that may answer the question… maybe!

But… rest the butt and swat the SU!

The loco I completed was a solid axle. I will say it took a lot of tinkering to get the wheels to turn correctly. If memory serves me right, the holes in the wheels for the piston have to be exactly 180 degrees from one another or they won’t turn

Sorry GR8 but, SU tells you different… You don’t need to be an expert to view models… It’s the 3D perspective that makes it beneficial, even to non-SU savvy viewers.

What version of SketchUp are you using? 2017 is the best free version available (more recent FREE ones are WEB based)... I can give access to a “legal download” that may not be readily available as Trimble are pushing the WEB versions.

Now having said that, if you are adamant in staying SU imune… I believe there are people that still refuse to vacinate…. I won’t push further, but will still offer the poke in the ribs snide remarks in the future….
