QS Sycamore with heavy ray flex can be gorgeous, and $7.50 is not a horrible price for figured wood in AZ.
Be curious to see pictures if it looks nice?

Porter walnut I saw while at Lie-Nielsen hand tool event in March was reclaimed and ‘rustic’? Is this new clear stock? FWIW – Timber has kept 4/4 common walnut in stock for $6 bdft well over year now.

None of the wood at Porter is inexpensive, or a bargain worth stock piling; but they do have huge selection of unique reclaimed wood for that special project. Might have grab a few boards if QS sycamore is large enough size to make blanket chest. :)

lol, they may grow wild, but have never seen one in a local mill or a shop,

as for teh walnut, it was noted by an acquaintance that some of the walnut had some nice figure, gonna try and get by tomorrow and peruse the pile, as they do not mind you picking and choosing.
i have another outlet for walnut at around 6 a foot depending on quantity, right now my joint is full of walnut as i picked up a saw mills stack a while back, but the qtr sawn sycamore intrigues me.
