Hello Forum Members! You may have noticed an outage on the site yesterday for a few hours. Google Cloud services experienced a pretty significant outage which impacted many online services and may have caused this site to be inaccessible to some members for a while. It appears all Google Cloud services have been restored. Our team monitored through the evening and into today. Everything does appear to be back to normal, though. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Carry on

This wasn’t the only place I couldn’t get to for a while. I guess I don’t understand all this internet stuff. I don’t use Google, except for email. Yet seems like no matter Google impacts me on things I don’t figure are related to Google. Same with Amazon. I prefer to not buy through Amazon if I don’t have to. Just seems to me they are taking over the retail world and the day will come when they are all we have to choose from. Any way I have order a couple things lately directly from the vendor, not through Amazon and my item still came in an Amazon box…..

Forgive my old age. I saw the heading of this thread as, “Outrage Yesterday!” I immediately clicked on it hoping for some recounting of a good, old fashioned, Lumberjocks disagreement. Pardon my thinking the less of you.

Made a lot of people wonder if they depend too much on Google. Especially the ones that couldn’t lock doors or turn on the a/c.

Cricket are the Error 520 from Cloudflare related to this problem or are they a different problem? I’ll bet I’ve seen that error about a dozen times today. It also seems to take much longer than usual to post a reply. The little green progress candy can just seems to go on and on and in some cases, I have had to hit refresh when it never came back.

Me too. I would have thought my Innernut connection was goofy, but everywhere else it’s same as always.
