Topic tags/keywords: powermatic 65 mount bracket pulley motor with 58 shaft tablesaw

Greetings from New England, I’m happy to have found this pleasant woodworkers forum, so much to gain… I am in the process of setting up a woodshop, ( my first) and I’ve purchased an old powermatic 65 … My first real table saw , which has not been in use for some time because it lacks a motor and a motor mount…. I’ve scoured the internet for a motor mount to no avail though have seen plenty of motors available. I will most likely purchase a 3 hp single phase if I can find a bracket for it. The motor pulley I do have which will accept a 5/8 shaft. The more common model 66 motors had a 3/4 shaft from what I’ve gathered though did share the same mount I was told. So has anybody some advice on how to locate said motor mount and motor with a 5/8 shaft please… I so do not want to part out my new old powermatic!

Check with a motor shop, they are experts. Baldor makes a quality motor.
