Doing some spring cleaning for my mother I’ve acquired an old table that I’m hoping someone in the area would be interested in. It belonged to my Great, Great Uncle. I have no idea how old it is. My Great, Great Uncle passed away in 1960. Ma says the table was built in Mineola, Texas sometime in the 1800s. The top is approx. 68”x 36”. The table has some damage in one corner, some of the laminated table top is coming apart. The legs and aprons, are in good shape. Bullnose has some cracks. Speaking of aprons. It has some of the thickest, tallest aprons I’ve ever seen on a table. Reaching under an apron to pick up the table is so thick that the face of the apron comes inches past my wrist up my forearm.

I’m looking to GIVE the table to someone in the Smith, Van Zandt, or Wood County area willing to come and haul it off. I think that it can still be a viable project for someone willing to restore it. Or anyone wanting to cannibalize it for the legs and aprons. I don’t want anything for the table, it’s FREE for the taking. Truth of the matter is I’ve been instructed to burn it on the brush pile. Not wanting to do that and having no place to keep it I was hoping someone else might like to have it. The table is in the southwest are of Wood County, Texas. Anyone close by interested can come and pick it up. You will need a pickup truck, standard long bed or a trailer at least eight foot long to haul it.

If interested drop me a PM.
