Topic tags/keywords: router accessories lifts

I am currently setting up a router insert for my table saw and I am looking at “lifts”. I have a Rigid fixed base router and i am looking for a lift that accommodate or fits the router. or more specifically ; does the body of this router fit most lifts such as JessEm or kreg etc…?

Does anyone have any experience with this router and various accessories?

I have the Kreg router lift works great. The jessem is similar and would ok. I had a rockler router lift but it did not have a lock and drifted down when I used it.

Woodmaster1 thank you for your reply.

my main concern is whether or not the Ridgid router body will work with the different lifts. The reason is that during all my research I saw that not all router bodies are of a standard diamater i.e. some or at least one brand is proprietary. and so does not fit most bases . .

Not sure how most lifts hold the router. I just don’t want to spend a couple hundred $$ for something that wont work with my router.

I just purchased an Incra Master lift II and a bench dog cast iron router table/saw extension.

I have not been able to use it yet, but the main reason I purchased it was that it has a secure, adjustable fit that will work on almost any router, without having to purchase any extra adapters. It is made by Jessem, and the only functional difference from their same-named model is the Incra has magnetic inserts for different size router bit clearance, rather than the plastic twist-lock inserts for the Jessem version, that use a special tool to install an remove. There is also an available magnetic insert that accepts PC compatible bushings. Rockler sells the Incra version to fit the narrower opening in their bench dog tables.

JessEm has a list of compatible router motors on their web site. I believe they’ve also released a model of their lift that accepts plunge routers too. Could be wrong about that last part.
