good tips for a quick blade tune up,thanks grump.also did you look at the dado blade setup jig right below it,thats something that would be a real time saver,i gotta make one of those.woodpeckers had one as a one time tool for about 200 bucks,woodsmiths can be made from scraps and a few bolts and nuts for pennies.

Thanks, Tony. That is just they way Scott Phillips showed us how to do it on a DMT diamond stone. I bought a diamond stone right after that and have been using it for year.

Good timing Grumpy! Just got a very nice plane from a venerable LJ’r and have another inherited from my Dad and was just going to explore sharpening methods. Thanks!
