Greetings all,

Newbie here

I am currently in the process of building two Adirondack chairs out of Cypress. I plan on painting them and I was curious what is the best type of paint to use and do I need to primer them?

I live in Miami so I need to account for both the blaring sun and rain.

Thanks in advance!

Milton

Oh boy. They are going to take a beating.

Definitely prime them I would use an oil based primer..

For real durability, I’d be looking at boat paint, IOW epoxy. Check Total Boat products. You can buy the primer and all from them.
